{"id":4917,"date":"2024-10-18T12:15:54","date_gmt":"2024-10-18T12:15:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ssppilford.org.uk\/wp2\/?page_id=4917"},"modified":"2026-01-13T10:20:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T10:20:13","slug":"jubilee-year-2025-pilgrims-of-hope","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ssppilford.org.uk\/wp2\/jubilee-year-2025-pilgrims-of-hope\/","title":{"rendered":"Jubilee Year 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Pilgrims of Hope<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Christmas Eve 2024 &#8211; Epiphany 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The 2025 Jubilee Year, which is a global Catholic celebration, has the theme \u201cPilgrims of Hope\u201d:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>When<\/strong>The Jubilee Year begins in Advent 2024 and ends on the Feast of the Epiphany in 2026.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>What<\/strong>The Jubilee Year is a time of grace and conversion, when Catholics can ask for a remission of sins.&nbsp;It&#8217;s also a time to focus on God&#8217;s mercy and forgiveness.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Why<\/strong>The theme of \u201cPilgrims of Hope\u201d was chosen to inspire hope and trust in a world facing many challenges, including war, poverty, climate change, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>How<\/strong>The Jubilee Year is marked by the opening of the Holy Door in St Peter&#8217;s Basilica in the Vatican on December 24, 2024.
