{"id":111,"date":"2016-05-25T20:22:24","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T20:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ssppilford.org.uk\/wp2\/?page_id=111"},"modified":"2023-11-22T10:47:38","modified_gmt":"2023-11-22T10:47:38","slug":"gift-aid","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ssppilford.org.uk\/wp2\/finance\/gift-aid\/","title":{"rendered":"Gift Aid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>What is \u2018Gift Aid\u2019<\/strong><br>When you give money to the Church, Gift Aid is a simple and easy way of the Church getting your tax back from the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>So what does it mean?<br>It means that if you are a taxpayer, the Church can get back the tax on all the money you give the to Church.<br>FOR EVERY \u00a31 YOU GIVE, THE CHURCH WILL GET AN EXTRA 28p BACK FROM THE GOVERNMENT.<br>The Church can only get tax back if you are paying enough tax in the first place.<br>Whether that\u2019s income tax or capital gains tax.<br>For example; for every \u00a3100 a year you give the Church, you must be paying at least \u00a328 tax a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:22px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does it work?<\/strong><br>It\u2019s easiest for us if you complete a \u2018Gift Aid\u2019 declaration form and put it in the Presbytery letterbox, addressed to the \u2018Gift Aid Organiser\u2019.<br>For us to claim the money back, there has to be a record of what you have given.&nbsp; Please help us by using the envelopes we will give you for any money you give in cash.
