Pilgrims of Hope

The 2025 Jubilee Year, which is a global Catholic celebration, has the theme “Pilgrims of Hope”:

WhenThe Jubilee Year begins in Advent 2024 and ends on the Feast of the Epiphany in 2026.
WhatThe Jubilee Year is a time of grace and conversion, when Catholics can ask for a remission of sins. It’s also a time to focus on God’s mercy and forgiveness.
WhyThe theme of “Pilgrims of Hope” was chosen to inspire hope and trust in a world facing many challenges, including war, poverty, climate change, and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
HowThe Jubilee Year is marked by the opening of the Holy Door in St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican on December 24, 2024. The Holy Doors are also found in the other three papal basilicas in Rome, and pilgrims travel there to seek special graces.
LogoThe logo for the 2025 Jubilee Year features four figures coming from the four corners of the earth, embracing each other to symbolize solidarity and brotherhood. The cross in the logo is elongated and shaped like an anchor, which is a symbol of hope.
