Confirmation

Confirmation applications for 2027 are now open. Please complete and submit the application form below. You must be in Year 12 or 13.

If you are over 18, ask Fr. Andrew about joining the RCIA course instead.

Confirmation sessions take place on Sundays from January to May.
This includes collective attendance at 11.00am Mass, followed by a preparation session of about 45mins, and some other events on the following dates:-
November 5th – Youth Gathering & Mass at Brentwood Cathedral 6.00pm
November 29th – World Youth Day 11.00am Mass only (no meeting after)
A meeting for candidates and parents:
December 13th after 11.00am Mass
Candidates only:
January 10th, 24th.
February 7th, 21st.
March 6th (Saturday) Flame Congress at Wembley Stadium, and usual meeting Sunday 21st.
April 4th, 18th.
May 2nd, 16th
Retreat at Walsingham House, Abbotswick – TBC
Practical rehearsal for the Sacrament (Candidates and Sponsors) – TBC

JUNE 27th Sacrament of Confirmation 11.00 am Mass

You will need to choose a Confirmation name. This usually a saint’s name that has special significance for you.

You will also need a sponsor who is someone you can look to for support and in whom you have confidence. It should not be a parent. They must be a confirmed catholic who is over 18.

A COPY of your Baptismal certificate should be sent separately to admin@ssppilford.org.uk
