Knights of St. Columba

Founded in Glasgow Scotland in the year 1919, the Knights of Saint Columba is the largest Catholic fraternal service organisation of its kind in Britain.

The Order is named after the missionary Saint Columba of Ireland. The pious saint helped to bring Christianity to the people of Northern Britain.

Our membership cuts across people from different walks of life, who by dedication, share in the principles of Charity, Unity and Fraternity.

We have over 4,000 members in over 300 Councils across England, Scotland and Wales. Membership is limited to men who faithfully practise Catholicism and are aged 16 or over.

As a religious solidarity, we support the doctrine as well as the missionary work of the Holy Catholic Church.

We foster the spiritual and material well-being of members and their families. Similarly, we encourage the development of young people in our local communities and abroad.

Our Council 82 Ilford assist where we can with stewarding of busy Masses, preparing the Church for Christmas services, fundraising through social events and school fete BBQs please take a look at our Facebook page.
